Ice Skating in Denver

Colorado, in general, is known for its cold weather. It’s so cold, in fact, that lakes, ponds, and rivers often freeze. When this happens, those natural bodies of water turn into sheets of ice that are sometimes converted into an ice rink. Hockey and ice skating, naturally, become a favorite past time. Even in warmer weather, there’s an opportunity to have fun on a rink. Some of the most well known, year-round ice skating rinks are specifically designed to enjoy no matter which month of the year. Even in the middle of summer, ice skating rinks are open!

As a result of Denver’s cold winters and an abundance of ponds, lakes, and rivers, ice skating has become a very popular activity with residents of Denver. It’s a fun activity to do as a family, and it’s also a very healthy form of exercise!
